An Unexpected Gift at an Unexpected Time
We are pleased to announce Reverend Sonya Milton is the new minister at Unity San Francisco. Circumstances have brought us together in a way which we could have never planned. And so it feels like an unexpected gift at an unexpected time. We thought we would be deep in the ministerial search, not knowing what our good would look like. Instead we have our wonderful Sonya right here, right now. Very lovely, very easy. Come in to a Sunday service and experience the ease and grace that happens here at Unity San Francisco.

Dear Friends,
It has been said that the way to make God laugh is to tell God our plans.
Right now, God must be laughing his/her socks off. Needless to say, plans have changed, and I am very happy to be continuing as Minister here at Unity San Francisco. Thanks to all of you for your prayerful support.
I quote a ministerial colleague who wrote of her return to ministry after several years away; these words are also of my own heart: I love the growing and learning that doing church requires. It’s like being married to many partners and always ready to reveal the areas of growth that are calling and the peace that is always emerging with each choice to surrender again.
We clearly do good work and play together, from our lively interactive credit classes to joyous filled Sunday celebrations to quiet prayer to service in the Unity community and beyond.
Already this year we’ve identified that our core values include courageous leadership, healing, loving, community, spiritual growth, support, and evolvement. We’ve affirmed that our Unity community exists to inspire and support the actualization of our spiritual nature. This discernment process goes on as we continually ask the question of ourselves and of our ministry: who have I come here to be?
In the meantime, Unity’s summer offerings are rich and diverse. Cinder Ernst offers a book study on The Energy of Money, 6 Monday evenings beginning June 15th. Our very own Chaplain, Errol Roelofsz, facilitates the Prayer Chaplain training in July. Check for times and details. Wednesday Night Lights will keep you in the flow of your own healing, now with the addition of Ministerial Intern TJ Woodward anchoring each 4th Wednesday.
And, on Sunday, July 12th, we joyously welcome former Unity San Francisco Minister and current Senior Minister of Unity Church of New York, Rev. Paul Tenaglia as we acknowledge Unity San Francisco’s 90th birthday. Yes, this ministry has been a presence and beacon of prayer and truth in San Francisco since 1919, and that is surely something to celebrate!
In our Unity, With Love and Blessings,
