At Unity SF, we have some opportunities and challenges before us. We, as your elected board, want to know what you think. You are invited to participate in the first survey of many to help answer the question: "Where is our spiritual center?" Please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

As you know, Reverend Maureene as chosen to resign as our minister.  We love her and will miss her lessons, her laughter, her love and her wisdom.  Her resignation is effective March 31, 2008.  Let us bless The Reverend as she takes this big step into her future.

Now is the time for us to come together as a spiritual community and embrace this change.  We are co-creators during this leadership transition. This is our church, and our consciousness is creating the next chapter at Unity San Francisco.  Let us look forward with enthusiasm and positive energy.  We know how to do this because we have learned the Unity principles:

• We call it good because as we name it, so it is.
• We think positively because we know that thoughts held in mind produce after their kind.
• Our thought and our words have the power of creation.  We shepherd the thoughts in our heads, and monitor the words that we say.
• We understand that we create our experiences; therefore, we commit to spiritual healing and spiritual growth.
• We put our actions where out intention is.  We support the church with loving prayer and positive words of encouragement and through tithing of time, talent and treasure.  We value, respect and welcome each other’s input.

We all know that everything has a beginning, a middle and an end; let us make this ending and this new beginning full of grace, love and light.  We will make our minister proud as we handle this new beginning with the wisdom and truth that she has so lovingly taught us.

Your Unity of San Francisco Board of Trustees is and will be working hard during this transition.  We are counting on your help as well.

A new year is a new beginning. How many times have we done this: begin each year again hoping that this time life will be different? And how many times have we failed?

So what's the use? Is it worth putting in the effort? Because only recently has the key been revealed, the key for making the changes that can matter in our lives, the answer this year is a definite "Yes." That key is calling in the Holy Spirit and following the guidance we receive.

This year Unity SF is going to lead us by the hand every step of the way as we move through new, uncharted territory. Our theme this year, 'Activating the New Age through the Holy Spirit', provides us the guidance and assistance that has been absent in our quest for noteworthy changes.

In our changing world, we need all the help we can get. During this year we will open new avenues of knowledge and show the way to spiritual development and thus the development of humankind. As we raise our vibrations and draw higher Cosmic Forces into our mind and body, our knowledge, force and consciousness expands.

This is the year-as we touch the Source with our attention and intention, we activate the Holy Presence that has the power to take us to our success. After all, our evolutionary aim is to become something better than we think we are. As we recognize that our vocation is spiritual growth, we cease to feel any burden and we learn to enjoy conflict and conquest equally.
