Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Rebekah Doughty

Hello everyone.  I am Rebekah Doughty, the new Unity SF Volunteer Coordinator.  I have been a member of Unity San Francisco since 2004, after I attended the Easter Service of that year.  I will never forget that day, because it was there that I heard all the same tenets that I’d believed and thought about God for so many years but had thought I was alone in my beliefs.  I knew that day, that I had found a community of people that believed as I did and were choosing to live accordingly.  My spiritual life has been evolving and growing since, which has in turn affected my life as a whole.  I no longer need to fear the god of my parents, as I did for so many years, but have substituted that fear for the belief that god is love and the faith that I am part of that, not separate from.
When Rev. Maureen offered me the role as Volunteer Coordinator, I felt so honored to be asked.  I believed this was the way for me to participate on another level, as I had been asking god for growth and could not say no.  I am excited about this opportunity to participate and contribute in such a capacity.  This is a new position for Unity SF and therefore part of this commitment is to develop and define the position for the needs of the church and assist with getting the needs attended to. Thank you all for your support and encouragement and willingness to volunteer.

Thanks, Rebekah. Keep up the good work!

Castro Street Fair

This year we were “out” at the Castro Street Fair, telling all who would listen about the Laws of the Universe and Unity in general.

Turn your "selfish" acts into generosity by becoming a member of www.iGive.com/unitysf. It’s FREE, no invisible costs or tricky obligations. Shop for everyday items at the over 500 stores at the Mall at iGive.com, like Barnes & Noble, Eddie Bauer, Lands' End and Expedia.com. Up to 26% of each purchase is donated to UNITY San Francisco.

Love and Light

If you look into our lovely garden at 2222 Bush between services on Sunday you will see the wonder of hands on healing. There is a healing chair and healers gathered around. Spirit is at work through the hands of our Holders, and you can feel it. Our healers at Unity are graduates of our Holders Class where they have learned the art of holding energy. Errol Roelofsz leads the team most Sundays and he describes the healing and wellness process: "It is our inherent birthright to be healthy, whole and complete. We are made in God's image and likeness and God is perfect whole and complete. We align ourselves with the Christ within to manifest this wholeness health and perfection. Jesus said, I can do all things through Christ in me, so we align ourselves with that which is perfect whole and complete. We affirm our oneness with the perfection and health of GOD. We speak words of health and healing for individuals and for our community."

If you need assistance holding to this Truth, we invite you to join our Healers and Prayer Partners in the Healing Garden at 2222 Bush and together we affirm and pray for the manifestation of your healing and wholeness. We have had wonderful reports of answered prayer. (Thank You God!) Please join us where miracles happen according to our belief!
