Happy Valentine's Day!
Today, we celebrate Love and all the ways it expresses in our lives. It is a perfect time to lovingly check in with the intentions we set for the New Year. So often we forget to keep love front and center.
It is right about now that I often feel the zeal, enthusiasm, and energy that kicked off my New Year begin to level off. I start to feel a bit less inspired. A bit less focused. And then comes the judgement, dampening my energy even more! It is in these moments that I remember Howard Thurman: "Keep fresh before me my moments of high resolve." And how do I keep it fresh, keep my energy moving? The first step is always to hold myself and all the ways I feel lacking with compassion and love.
On this Valentine's Day, I invite you to join me. Keep fresh before you your moments of high resolve. Keep stepping out, no matter how small the step, with compassion and love. Give yourself a Valentine. Hold yourself tenderly wherever you are on your journey. Love yourself. Love your willingness. Love your resistance. Love it all.
