Special Services in June

Sacred Service Month at Unity San Francisco

Join us on Sundays in June as we celebrate our Sacred Service Month!  We have some special services coming up that we're excited to share with you.

Sunday, June 2nd: Sacred Service Month & Joshua Daigle's Christening

On Sunday, June 2nd, Rev. DeeAnn will share a profound message about the significance of Sacred Service, and what it means for each of us as we answer our own unique calling.  We will also celebrate the christening of Rev. Ken and JD's son, Joshua Daigle.

Sunday, June 9th: Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett

Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett, Vice President of Unity Prayer and Practice Division, joins us on Sunday, June 9th as she shares her views on Serving the World with Thoughts and Prayers.  Every time a legislator responds in a communal crisis with "thoughts and prayers," social media screams back.  Not with thoughts and prayers, but action, we say!  In this month, when Unity San Francisco is celebrating sacred service, Rev. Linda speaks about the value of thought and prayer as a first step, a critical platform and supreme act of service: cultivating being for mature doing.

She will also offer a workshop after Service, entitled Divine Embodiment.

Sunday, June 16th: Parenting as Sacred Service - A Father's Day Message with Rev. Ken

On Father's Day, Rev. Ken offers his reflections on parenting as it pertains to our sacred calling to Service.

Sunday, June 23rd: Rev. Bill Englehart from Unity In Marin

Rev. Bill Englehart, Senior Minister at Unity In Marin, joins us on Sunday, June 23rd to share a special message about Serving Life.  He says, "When I hear this statement about serving life, several concepts come to mind.  I think if the ways Charles and Myrtle Fillmore spent their lives in service to mankind.  My father was into the Navy, and going into the armed forces is often referred to as going into the service.  I also think about the men in San Quentin prison, of which I know many, who are serving life sentences.  In Hinduism, there are three paths to God that all involve being in service.  Are we serving life?"

Sunday, June 30th: Gay Pride and Pot Luck Sunday

Rev. Ken hosts our Gay Pride Service and speaks about coming out spiritually.  Our fantastic Pot Luck Sunday will follow the Service, so be sure to come hungry and bring a dish to share!
