We are a tithing community.  If you don't know what that means, you would not be alone.  There are so many misconceptions, preconceptions, and variations on what tithing means that one can easily be confused.

What we at Unity San Francisco mean by that statement is simple: Tithing is giving to where we are spiritually fed in anticipation and expectation of that individual or organization continuing to feed and bless us spiritually.  We tithe (give 10% of all of the income we receive) to organizations and individuals whom we want to make sure will continue to nourish us.

To that end, the Board of Trustees has looked at the amazing blessing of our building sale and has decided to tithe on the profit after the purchase of Page Street.  Starting this month, we will be tithing a total of $270,000.00 to several individuals and organizations.  We will be announcing and sharing our tithes on Sundays and here in our Newsletter for the next few months.

The first tithe was announced on Sunday, and I am delighted to tell you again here that we are bringing Misa Malone on as our Music Director.  Misa hs been volunteering with us for months now, and we are delighted to be able to hire her as a part-time employee of Unity San Francisco.  She and I have been dreaming and planning on how to use this to expand and support our music program and to bless Unity San Francisco for years to come!
